Mine is in Black and it's a really deep, intense colour that you could either layer or just use one coat; I found that one coat was enough normally, but when I wanted something more dramatic, the product layered well and didn't cake. The tip makes winging your liner really easy as it's basically drawing on your face with a pen.
My one negative to this product is that although it says that it's waterproof, it smudges easily, so use a primer, base or powder underneath to stop this from happening.
This product was £3.99 and most drug stores carry it, and so far, I haven't found a better low end drug store liquid eyeliner pen!
